The Shim Jun School

The Shim Jun School was founded in August 1996 by Mr. Miguel Loureiro (4th Degree Black Belt) and has now 7 graduated instructors. The School operates both in Lisbon and in Oporto and it accepts every new student who wishes to be a part of the Songahm Family.

Shim Jun means "planting for a better future".
And this is the objective of our School's instructors: to help students grow in a balanced way, both physically and mentally.
With that in mind, we base our teaching in a group of principles and values that we consider to be of the upmost importance, in a student's growth.
These values are Courtesy, Loyalty, Respect, Perseverance, Honour, Integrity, Self-Control and an Untameable Spirit - the Songahm Spirit!
